Mayweather & Mosley both agree on random drug testing

Floyd Mayweather Jr and Shane Mosley have agreed to undergo Olympic-style drug testing for their 1 May fight.

Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley met with officials from the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to agree on a testing programme. The programme will include random blood tests before and after the fights.

As far as we can remember that Mayweather's proposed fight with Manny Pacquiao come to nothing in January after Manny Pacquiao refused to yield to his rival's demands for random testing in which he believed to be a major downfall for his power.

Mosley said that this programme is a great idea and did not have time to refuse on it. The USADA testing comprises the collection of athletes' blood and urine prior to and after the fight, with no warning ahead of time.

Mayweather insisted before that he just wants to show the world that boxing is a clean sport and hoped that all fighters will take similar standpoint. Why Mayweather does fought 40 Pro fights without this Olympic style of testing. Does it mean that he is dirty on all those fights? This is why the Seven-weight world champion Pacquiao disagreed on this condition because he has fought in Las Vegas on numerous occasions and never failed a drug test.

Let us hope still that there will be a progress on who is Pacquiao’s next contender after this May 1 Mayweather vs Mosley Fight.
